PILGRIM’s Brand Ignition Point research revealed that most people donate to the United Way because they believe in “collective generosity,” the concept that when people pool their donations together, they can accomplish big things for their community. Prospective donors also told us they were moved to action when they saw real people whose lives have been changed by the United Way. So this campaign brought both concepts together under the umbrella theme, “We can do more together.” The campaign broke all previous records for fundraising at Mile High United Way, deliering double digit increases in total contributions.
